Industrial Coatings

Our company offers reliable and long-lasting industrial coatings solutions to protect steel structure, equipment and various facilities from the corrosive effects of heat, moisture and other damaging elements. Although industrial coating is primarily for protective purposes, the paint, laminate and/or cover we use provides not only protection but also aesthetic appeal. Corrosion is the canker that infects any industrial structure or equipment. It will make your business lose valuable assets and may furthermore cause safety hazards to employees.

There are many different types of coatings that our company provides. You can choose which type is best not only for your business but also for your home. Yes, your home. Your floors at home also need to be laminated, covered or polished in order to protect it from corrosion, slippage as well as allow it to last you for a long time saving maintenance costs in the long run.

The coat or cover that you choose to protect your floors, whether it may be concrete, wood or whatnot needs to be able to withstand chemicals as well as heavy impact. Most importantly, industrial floors need to be non-slip and low maintenance. This is especially true for floor coatings in kitchens, laboratories, hospitals, schools, factories and commercial buildings.

Industrial Coatings To Choose From

As there are more than just a few types of industrial floorings to choose from, it is best to consult a professional on what type is best suited for your building’s needs. Ensuring that your floor gets the best type of protection is our passion and expertise. You can guarantee that our floor coatings meet the industry and safety standards so you have peace of mind that your business operation meets little to no downtime of any sort.

In installing industrial floor protection, some of the factors that we consider are:

Anti-slip finishes, dust-proofing, exterior and interior protective coatings, fire resistance, hygienic seamless system and oil and chemical-resistant finishes. The last two considerations are especially important for surfaces wherein food is being handled, such as kitchen and factories. Lastly, we also consider the decorative aspect of industrial coatings.

If you are looking for the best type of flooring for schools, hospitals, gymnasiums and exercise studios, rubber floor coating often works best. Not only is it long lasting, water resistant and low maintenance, but it also provides protection against impact plus heat and cold insulation. The downside however is that rubber floors can be easily damaged by scratches.

Industrial Coatings For Businesses

For restaurants and commercial parking areas, the most durable and affordable option is concrete flooring. On top of being durable, it is also easy to keep clean as it repels dust, mites and other types of allergens. Nowadays, concrete flooring are more aesthetically pleasing what with polished concrete and other types of decorative options that you need not worry that your floors would look boring and institutionalized.

For hotels, offices and waiting areas like a hospital lounge, we recommend commercial carpeting. Much like rubber floors, it provides protection from slippage as well as natural cushioning and insulation.

Other types of industrial floorings are vinyl flooring and epoxy coating. Vinyl floors are commonly seen in retail stores as it not only comes in various patterns but it is easy to install and maintain. Epoxy coating, probably the most functional and durable of all types of floor coatings is favoured for budgetary and environmental reasons. It is a popular choice because it easily meets safety and health requirements.

Floor Grinding

Floor Grinding

Concrete floors are becoming increasingly commonplace as more and more people are learning of its durability. Such floors can no longer only be found in commercial and industrial buildings but also in many homes. Though concrete floors are very durable and therefore require very little maintenance, it does need regular cleaning and care for it to stay shiny and beautiful, and thus, floor grinding is a must.

We specialize in grinding concrete floors to high-lustre perfection with our advanced polishing equipment and expert techniques. Our professional contractors can grind concrete floors to a high-gloss finish that can rival any waxed or coated floor, plus modern staining techniques allows concrete floors to imitate the look and appeal of polished stone. The best part is that concrete floors are more durable than coated floors, tile, granite, linoleum or marble.

It is best to go to a professional contractor to get concrete floor grinding for many reasons. Not only is concrete polishing equipment expensive to either buy or rent but floor grinding is a complicated multistep process that requires expert skills and is accordingly best left to professionals.

Floor Grinding Equipment

Heavy duty equipment used for concrete floor polishing is equipped with disks that are infused with diamond bits. The diamond bits grind down concrete’s naturally rough surface, smoothing out the topmost layer to reveal a nice and shiny appearance. The refinement or amount of diamond bits or grit varies; the higher the number of grits the shinier the floors.

As mentioned, polishing concrete is a multistep process. Floor grinding starts off with stain and roughness removal by using disks with coarse grits; depending on how rough the concrete is to begin with, the first stage of using coarse grit disks may take three or four passes in order to ready the floor for the actual polishing. Once the coarse grinder is completed, a hardener is used to so as to protect the floor from dust and water before the fine-grit grinding process.

Though nearly all types of concrete floors can be ground smooth, some older types of concrete floors will require prep work before it can be polished and some really porous or wavy floors may not be suitable at all. Our expert contractors will, of course, evaluate and give you recommendation as to what is best for your floors.

Types Of Floor Grinding

There are two types of floor grinding, wet and dry. The wet method can be messy but it makes the tools last longer by lubricating and reducing friction that could make the temperature so high as to melt the disks. Furthermore, the wet method gets rid of dust by cooling the diamond grits. The dry method on the other hand is less messy as the machine has a dust-containment attached to it.

These two methods are oftentimes used in combination with each other. However, newer and more advanced equipment only requires the dry process as resin-bonded disks are able to withstand the friction.

Our company provides industry expertise in floor grinding and we use only the best polishing machines. You can choose different levels of sheen as we provide polishing varieties from a modest satin to mirror-smooth, high gloss finish, depending on your preference. Plus, we provide floor staining, engraving and graphic stencilling so as to achieve various decorative effects.

Polishing Concrete

Polishing Concrete

Almost all types of concrete floors can be polished to look just as good as polished stone such as marble and granite. For this reason many opt for concrete floors because it can look just as beautiful but with the added advantage of it being more durable, especially compared to covered or coated floors. Polishing concrete is increasingly becoming more and more popular not only with commercial facilities but also with homeowners.

The appeal of shiny, perfectly faux-stained concrete is very popular because on top of looking very attractive and sophisticated, polished concrete is very durable and requires very little maintenance.

Polishing floors to a shine is the next step to floor grinding. Being a complicated multistep process that requires heavy and expensive machinery, this process is best left to skilled professionals.

Polishing Concrete Companies

Our company employs highly skilled professional contractors that will be able to expertly polish your flooring to the level of sheen that best suits your home or commercials space’s fancy and needs. The various levels of shine we provide range from a sort of lovely, low gloss, matte satin finish to sophisticated, highly glossy and mirror smooth floors.  Depending on your maintenance and aesthetic requirements, our experts will be able to recommend what is best.

Before concrete can be polished, it needs to undergo floor grinding, which is basically smoothing out the rough top layer of concrete using grinding disks infused with diamond grits. Floor grinding is the process that preps concrete floors for polishing. The initial process of grinding uses disks with coarse grits and when the concrete is ready, progressively finer and finer grits are used. The higher the number of grits, the finer it is and thus the shinier the finish.

Though only a minimum count of 400-grit is needed in order to floor to consider concrete flooring as being “polished”, the finish usually requires grit fineness not lower than 800 grits. Depending on the sheen level you require, grit level can be as high as 3000 grits; this is usually for very glossy, mirror like finishes.

Polishing Concrete For Your Homes

For homes, offices and other commercial buildings, faux finishes are often used to add to the aesthetic appeal of the polished concrete. Once we get your floors shiny and smooth, you can choose to have us stain and dye it so that it resembles marble, granite or whatnot. Staining and dyeing the floor can give it the appearance of polished stone like marble and granite and more complicated methods like drawing borders, engraving, scoring, painting grids and bands and creating radial lines among others can enhance your floors’ beauty.

Polishing concrete is also a sustainable method to flooring design as it requires no additional materials such as linoleum, carpet or stone. It is a green solution not only because the exposed concrete is already present but also because smooth and reflective floors can improve lighting and therefore decreases the need for electricity. Additionally, polishing floors discourages mould growth as well as reduces dust mites among other types of allergens.
